Functional Focus

We work across a number of different functions but have recently worked on these issues:

Co-creation

Using carefully profiled online innovation communities, we co-create value propositions for new growth platforms with potential target customers. The research is real-time prototype development with end-users. All the participants are recruited into a closed online interactive site and sign non-disclosure agreements to ensure. This is an innovative new way of developing new products and services to ensure early buy-in.

Product Portfolio Strategy and Investment Prioritization

We work with clients on focusing their resources and talent on a set of winning brands or markets capable of driving profitable growth. We support our clients by providing a solid, independent fact-base using our product portfolio strategy analysis.

Over more than 25 projects, we have developed a multi-factor multifactor market portfolio analysis tool developed by General Electric Company (GE) called the Portfolio Assessment Matrix. This approach compares different brands, markets or opportunities in terms of Market Attractiveness and the client’s Relative Strength. In addition, we assess the relative opportunity size and the client’s (and key competitor’s) market share of the opportunity.

We use this approach to drive consensus around our findings and gain alignment for how to go forward and prioritize growth opportunities.

International Expansion Strategy

Our clients continue reviewing their international expansion efforts to fully capture the growth opportunities in strategic markets. We work with them on prioritizing markets, identifying best entry modes (e.g., Greenfield, JVs, or acquisitions) and determining specific business development plans.

Growth Matrix

Our growth matrix has been adopted by the famous Ansoff Matrix. However, we have added additional growth segments (either categories or customers) and defined a clear approach for categorizing growth opportunities. We find that it works well as a tool for identifying new growth platform opportunities in mature markets.
